VMU invites staff to apply for the Professional Development Fund
Vytautas Magnus University Professional Competence Development Center, together with national and international partners, this year offered more than 90 professional development events (trainings, seminars, etc.) for academic and non-academic employees of the University, as well as employees of other higher education institutions and the public. In order to respond to the needs of every member of University community to achieve professionalism in their field, University offers a unique opportunity to develop competencies in other foreign or Lithuanian institutions, using the opportunities of the VMU Professional Development Fund.
The VMU Professional Development Fund is another opportunity for professional development, to adopt best practices and innovative knowledge from seminars, trainings and courses offered by external partners. "We always want to listen to the needs of every member of the community and meet them. Because only a self-confident expert who constantly improves his/her knowledge and competences in his/her field can feel confident in his/her professional activity and share his/her experience with students and colleagues. The University has certainly offered a very wide range of activities and events this year, and we have already prepared and implemented a plan with dozens of seminars, trainings and other activities for the academic year 2022-2023. However, the possibilities of the VMU Professional Development Fund will ensure comprehensive opportunities for every employee of the University, therefore, we invite employees to take advantage of this opportunity."
The announced selection of applications will take place until May 5. From 2025, applications are accepted every month by the 5th day of the month.
The main conditions of the competition:
- Applications are accepted for seminars, trainings or courses (participation fee).
- Applications are open to academic and non-academic staff of VMU.
- The applicant has the opportunity to receive up to 500 euros per academic year to finance seminars, trainings or courses.
- The applicant undertakes to share the good experience with the VMU community after the training financed by the Professional Development Fund.
- The applicant must fill in the training needs application form provided by the Professional Development Fund.
- Applications are evaluated by a committee made up of academic and non-academic employees, according to the provided and approved evaluation criteria.
- The VMU Professional Competences Development Fund and the committee ensure the confidentiality of received applications. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the regulations of the fund.
- Please send your application, scanned with signatures, in pdf format and the same document in doc / docx format to mokymosi.akademija@vdu.lt.
- The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the documents submitted are in order and on time.
