Short description. The system of English verb tenses differs significantly from the corresponding system in our native language. Therefore, we find it difficult to make a distinction between English tenses and face difficulties using them correctly.

Learning structure
Aim. Applying a novel approach to teaching, this course aims to assist intermediate (levels B1-B2) learners of English in clarifying uncertainties regarding the English tense system and using the tenses correctly.
Content:
Simple and continuous aspects (present and past);
Perfect and perfect continuous aspects (present and past);
Future forms.
Developed skills. Ability to use English tenses.
Target group. VMU academic and non-academic staff.
Duration. 10 academic hours.
Place. The course will be held remotely. Web cameras and microphones are obligatory.
Professional development practices by groups of competencies. Group 1 - general (foreign languages, intercultural communication, and cooperation, management, etc.).
The direction of professional development practices. Level B training programme (experienced) - for those wishing to develop and/or acquire new competencies or to maintain existing qualifications.
