Description
Short description. The short course Writing a Course Description in English is aimed at assisting the university teachers who use (or plan to use) English as the language of instruction in developing their academic writing skills. Course participants familiarize themselves with the structure and content of a short course description, learn phrases and collocations that are often used in course descriptions and study samples of course descriptions from English speaking universities. The new knowledge gained is applied in practice: course participants practice writing a short description and analyse and evaluate each other’s texts.
