Learning structure

 Short description. Participants get to know the basics of the English sound system, learn to recognize some more difficult English sounds and practice producing the sounds. The seminar is practice-based with the focus placed on those vowel and consonant sounds that learners of English tend to struggle with.

 Content:

 The basics of the English sound system;

 English consonant sounds , , and ;

 English vowel sounds , , and .

 Developed skills. Ability to pronounce English consonant sounds , , and correctly and ability to pronounce English vowel sounds , , and correctly.

 Target group. VMU academic and non-academic staff. 

 Duration. 4 academic hours.

 PlaceThe course will be held onsite.

 NotePlease bring a small mirror.

 Professional development practices by groups of competencies. Group 1 - general (foreign languages, intercultural communication, and cooperation, management, etc.).

 The direction of professional development practices. Level B training programme (experienced) - for those wishing to develop and/or acquire new competencies or to maintain existing qualifications.
