Short description.

Can universities really thrive without applying an intersectional approach in daily interactions, scientific and academic practices? In this 2.5-hour training session, we will explore how different aspects of identity—gender, age, socioeconomic status, disability, ethnicity, etc.—intersect and influence not only personal life, but also careers and the entire academic environment. You will get evidence-based information about the importance of gender+ and intersectionality, learn about European Union's equal opportunities policy guidelines and hear inspiring examples from other European higher education institutions.

Content.

During the training we will explore:

key concepts on gender+ and intersectionality;

the EU policy framework on gender equality in the ERA;

 good practices on integrating intersectional perspectives in research.

This training will provide a space for joint thinking, discussions, and the generation of practical ideas by incorporating interactive tasks that encourage exchange and co-creation.
