Learning structure
Short description. The course focuses on formal English writing practices. Course participants study the structure of a comparative paragraph, a short descriptive text and a biographical statement, familiarize themselves with some useful phrases and practice applying the knowledge gained.
Content:
Structure of a paragraph;
Formal style of writing;
Principles of writing a comparative paragraph, a short descriptive text and a biographical statement.
Developed skills. Ability to write short formal texts in English.
Target group. VMU academic and non-academic staff.
Duration. 10 academic hours.
Place. The course will be held remotely. Web cameras and microphones are obligatory.
Professional development practices by groups of competencies. Group 1 - general (foreign languages, intercultural communication and cooperation, management, etc.).
The direction of professional development practices. Level B training programme (experienced) - for those wishing to develop and/or acquire new competencies or to maintain existing qualifications.
